മികച്ച നഗരസഭയ്ക്കുള്ള സ്വരാജ് ട്രോഫി മേയര്‍ ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി (The Mayor received the Swaraj Trophy for the best Corporation)
മികച്ച തദ്ദേശസ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനത്തിനുള്ള സ്വരാജ് ട്രോഫി പുരസ്കാരം തുടർച്ചയായ മൂന്നാം വർഷവും തിരുവനന്തപുരം നഗരസഭ കരസ്ഥമാക്കി. തദ്ദേശദിനാഘോഷത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ഗുരുവായൂരില്‍ വെച്ച് നടന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ തദ്ദേശസ്വയംഭരണം ബഹു. എക്സൈസ് വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി ശ്രീ. എം. ബി. രാജേഷില്‍ നിന്നും ബഹു. മേയര്‍ ആര്യ രാജേന്ദ്രന്‍ എസ് പുരസ്കാരം ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി. 50 ലക്ഷം രൂപയും പ്രശസ്തിപത്രവും ട്രോഫിയുമാണ് സമ്മാനിച്ചത്.
(Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation has won the Swaraj Trophy Award for the best local self-government institution for the third consecutive year. Hon’ble Mayor Smt. Arya Rajendran S received the award from the hon’ble minister for Local Self Governments and Department of Excise, Government of Kerala, Shri. M.B. Rajesh, at a function held in Guruvayur as part of the Local Self Government Day celebrations. The hon’ble mayor was presented with a cash prize of Rs. 50 lakhs, a certificate of honor and a trophy.)
