തിരുവനന്തപുരം നഗരസഭ കഴക്കൂട്ടം വാർഡിലെ (ലാറ്റിറ്റ്യൂഡ് 8.562241238962727 ലോഞ്ചിറ്റ്യൂഡ് 76.87164884133415) ഗ്യാസ് ക്രിമിറ്റോറിയം ശാന്തിതീരം. 4500 സ്ക്വയർ മീറ്റർ ചുറ്റളവുള്ള കെട്ടിടത്തിലാണ് സജ്ജീകരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. കൂടാതെ മെക്കാനിക്കൽ റൂം, ഓഫീസ് റൂം, ഗ്യാസ് റൂം, വാഷ് റൂം  എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. മനോഹരമായ പൂന്തോട്ടവും ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. സെമി ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക് സംവിധാനത്തിൽ എല്‍പിജി ഗ്യാസിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന രണ്ട് യൂണിറ്റുകളാണ് സജ്ജമാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളത്. ഇവ അന്തരീക്ഷമലിനീകരണം പൂർണമായും ഒഴിവാക്കി കൊണ്ടുള്ള സംവിധാനമാണ്. ഗ്യാസ് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഒരേസമയം 2 മൃതദേഹങ്ങൾ സംസ്കരിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള സംവിധാനം ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഒരു മൃതദേഹം സംസ്കരിക്കാൻ ഒന്നരമണിക്കൂർ സമയമാണ് ആവശ്യമായി വരുന്നത്. ഒരു ദിവസം 12 മൃതദേഹങ്ങൾ വരെ സംസ്കരിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയും. മരണാനന്തര ചടങ്ങുകൾ നടത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള സംവിധാനം ഏർപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

രാവിലെ 8 മണി മുതൽ വൈകുന്നേരം 6 മണി വരെയാണ് പ്രവർത്തന സമയം പൊതു വിഭാഗങ്ങൾക്ക് 1600 രൂപയും ബിപിഎൽ വിഭാഗത്തിന് 850 രൂപയുമാണ് ചാർജ് ആയി ഈടാക്കുന്നത് ബുക്ക് ചെയ്യുന്നതിനായി 9074249624 നമ്പറിൽ ബന്ധപ്പെടാവുന്നതാണ്

SANTHITHEERAM

SANTHITHEERAM is a newly constructed crematorium at Kattukulam  in Kazhakkoottam ward. The total land area spans 40 cents and the built up area comes to 450m2. The main crematorium building named the Santhi Theeram encompasses two gas furnaces.   The cremation is done in two gas furnaces  installed by MHT Engineering , Chennai, incorporating the best technique of total combustion carried out in the primary and secondary combustion chamber. It takes about maximum 1 and a half hour for the cremation of the body  . The ashes are collected in urns. The ashes in the urns are handed over to the relatives. There is an electric panel room and a separate powerful generator  exclusively for the purpose of cremation. There is a walkway floored with granite stones with green carpet on both . The compound 's courtyard and surroundings are beautified with natural stones and plants. Also provided necessary aerobic bins, security room, dress changing rooms, bathing facilities, etc. There is an cc TV in connection with a computer. The parking area paved with natural stones  provided for the vehicles. The  gas crematorium  project completed on 4th January 2025

Facilities for conducting post-death rituals are also available.
